Community Pop‑Up Health Event – September 29, 2025
“Connecting our neighbors to care, resources, and support, because everyone deserves a healthy future.”
On Monday, September 29, Kansas Impact Coalition hosted a free community‑health pop‑up at St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church (215 S Chicago St., Salina).
Event Highlights:
The Salina Family Healthcare Center’s mobile unit was on‑site, offering free health screenings including blood pressure checks.
Attendees were given “Purple Card” assistance (a program linked to SFHC for patients seeking care with limited or no insurance).
Grab‑and‑go sack lunches, snacks, water and gift cards were provided to support and engage attendees.
The event aimed to connect community members with health care, transportation (bus passes), and resource services.
Impact & Purpose:
This event demonstrated KIC’s commitment to accessible health‑care outreach in Salina, particularly for underserved populations. By partnering with SFHC and offering screenings, resources and direct support, the coalition helped break down access barriers and fostered community wellness in a tangible way.
