Kansas Impact Coalition Hydration Stations
Keeping Salina Cool, One Bottle at a Time
When summer temperatures soar, staying hydrated isn’t just a comfort, it’s a necessity. That’s why the Kansas Impact Coalition launched the Hydration Stations Project, an initiative designed to make free, cold water easily accessible to anyone in need across Salina.
Our first hydration station was proudly installed at the Salvation Army Community Building on South Santa Fe in June 2025, and we’re continuing to expand to multiple city bus stops throughout north and central Salina. These stations provide bottled water and hydration support to residents, unhoused individuals, and anyone waiting at local transit stops during the hottest months of the year.
Why It Matters
Access to clean, cold water can make all the difference, especially for those without stable housing, transportation, or air conditioning. By bringing hydration directly to public spaces, we’re helping reduce the risk of heat exhaustion and building a stronger, more compassionate community.
Each Hydration Station is stocked and maintained by volunteers and community partners. Together, we’re proving that small acts of care can have a big impact.
Where You Can Find Them
Hydration Stations are currently available (during summertime) at:
The Salvation Army Community Building 1137 N Santa Fe Ave
Several Salina CityGo Bus Stops across North and Central Salina (including near community centers and residential areas)
More locations are being added as we grow, our goal is to ensure that no one in Salina goes without access to safe drinking water on a hot day.
